What is Phillip Master Capital Protected Fund ?

A new choice of investment in Malaysia. Phillip Master Capital Protected Fund participates in the equity market upside potential while providing downside protection to your investment at maturity.

How Does the Capital Protection Work ?

  • Our fund managers will study current and future economic factors to determine an optimal asset allocation and investment to achieve the fund’s objectives.
  • In order to maximise profit and maintain stability, a proportion of the fund will be invested in bonds issued and guaranteed by the Malaysian Government and its agencies. Investment and returns from these securities which, are held until maturity, will provide the CAPITAL PROTECTION. To achieve competitive returns, a maximum of 10% of the fund will be invested in securities and other investment instruments through active investment strategies.

To allow investors to participate in the potential upside of the equity market whilst protecting 100% of their initial capital (less sales charge) and to provide aggregate investment returns higher than conventional fixed deposit accounts on the Maturity Date
Asset Allocation
  • Minimum of 90% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) will be invested in listed and unlisted fixed income securities and debt instruments issued or backed by Malaysian Government, Bank Negara Malaysia and their agencies, which includes at least 5% of the Fund’s NAV maintained as liquid assets
  • Up to 10% of the NAV will be invested in equities and equity-related securities

Sales Charge 3.5% (Offer Period) -10% of Selling Price
Management Fee 1.1% per annum of the Net Asset Value
Trustee Fee 0.07% per annum of the Net Asset Value, subject to a minimum of RM 18,000 per annum
Offer Period 30 + 30 days commencing from the Commencement Date or the period within which 100 million units of the Fund has been sold, whichever period is shorter. No application will be accepted after the offer period. PMB reserves the right not to issue units and to return monies received without interest, not later than 14 business days after the offer period if PMB is of the opinion that it is not in the interest of investors or not commercially viable to proceed with the fund
