Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the activities of the company. Besides that the Board is responsible for determining the company’s mission and objective, providing adequate resources, managing resources efficiently and monitoring the company’s programs and services. The Board has 7 members who meet once every 3 months or more frequently when occasion demands.


B.Sc (Hons) Civil, M.Sc (Geotech)

Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Ir. Jamilus Bin Md Hussin is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of KLIA Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd. He is also the President of the Project Management Institution Malaysia and holds several fellow memberships with engineering associations in Malaysia. Tan Sri (Dr.) Ir. Jamilus is known for spearheading KLIA Construction within the time frame of 7 years.

Prior to the KLIA project, Prof. Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Ir. Jamilus held numerous key positions in the Government including the Public Work Department (PWD). Among the posts he held were as the PWD State Director in Pahang, Terengganu and Perak. His vast experience includes the formation of policies, organisational development and implementation, project and construction management and facility management of Government properties.

Prof. Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Ir. Jamilus also has a keen interest in propagating the professional practice of project management in the industry. He is active in the lecturing circuit by giving lectures and seminars in major local and international conferences. Prof. Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Ir. Jamilus was appointed as an Independent Director on 22 November 2004. On 24 December 2015, Prof. Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr.) Ir. Jamilus was appointed as Chairman of Investment Committee.

DATUK IR. HAMZAH BIN HASAN (Independent Director)

B.SC (Civil Engineering) from Glasgow University, United Kingdom.

Datuk Ir. Hamzah Bin Hasan is a Professional Engineer of the board of Engineers Malaysia, Fellow of Chartered Institute of Building, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Institute of Value Engineering Malaysia, ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organizations and Honorary Fellow of the Project Management Institution of Malaysia

Prior to the KL International Airport project as Construction Director, Datuk Ir Hamzah held numerous key positions in the Public Work Department (PWD). Among the posts he held were as the PWD at the District, State and Federal level.

Datin Hajjah Nona Binti Salleh, CFP (Executive Chairperson, PhillipCapital Malaysia), is the Executive Chairperson of Phillip Capital Management Sdn Bhd, Chairman of Phillip Mutual Berhad, a director of Phillip Futures Sdn Bhd, Phillip Wealth Planner Sdn Bhd, as well as other Malaysian companies under the PhillipCapital Group. She started her investment career in Aseambankers in 1992 where she gained exposure in the management of Shariah-based and semi-Shariah based portfolios. Over the past 28 years, she has accumulated experience through her involvement in the investment management and strategy of her clients’ investment portfolios, namely the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Lembaga Tabung Haji, Koperasi Jaya Diri, Double Growth Fund and Emerging Growth Fund (BHLB Unit Trusts) as well as Mayban Dana Yakin (Maybank’s Shariah -based unit trust fund). Prior to re-joining the Phillip Group in 2001 to head its Malaysian operation, she has held several key positions in investment management and research, including the positions of Associate Investment Director of BHLB Asset Management, a subsidiary of Ban Hin Lee Bank (now merged under CIMB group) and Chief Investment Officer at Mayban Investment Management Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Malayan Banking Berhad. Datin Hajjah Nona is a graduate of the London School of Economics, University of London and she holds the Investment Management Certificate (IIMR), UK as well as being a member of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM). She holds a Capital Markets Services Representative License (CMSRL/A3012/2007).

MR. ANDY LIM SAY KIAT, CFA, CFP (Non-Independent Director)

Mr. Andy Lim Say Kiat was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Director of Phillip Mutual Bhd (PMB) on 1 January 2016. Prior to this, he was a Non-Independent Director of PMB since 5 June 2009, during which he held the position as Executive Director of Phillip Wealth Planner Sdn Bhd, a leading financial planning company in Malaysia and before that, heading the group’s fund management arm, Phillip Capital Management Sdn Bhd.

Mr. Andy Lim started his career as a Dealer in the international commodities market before joining PhillipCapital’s Malaysian derivatives operation as a Futures Dealer representative in 1998. He has 22 years of experience in the capital markets covering fund management, derivatives broking, financial planning, research, financial platform development, distribution and marketing. He is currently the Group Managing Dector of PhillipCapital Malaysia and is a board member in most of its key subsidiary companies.

He was a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Financial Advisers of Malaysia from 2013 to 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management (Honours) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter holder since 2006.

ENCIK MOHD FADZLI BIN MOHD ANAS (Non-Independent Director)

BSc (Mathematics) from Clarkson University, USA,
MBA (Finance) from University of Leeds, UK.

En. Mohd Fadzli Bin Mohd Anas was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Phillip Mutual Bhd between 2 February 2005 and 31 December 2015. Prior to that, he was the Vice President, Investment of Phillip Capital Management Sdn Bhd where he was responsible for investment and marketing activities for the company. En. Mohd Fadzli has been with the PhillipCapital Group for the past 16 years and has been instrumental in charting the growth of its Malaysian business. He currently holds the position of Executive Director for Phillip Capital Management Sdn Bhd since 1 January 2016.

En. Mohd Fadzli has worked in various senior capacities in the financial industry for the past 20 years. He has also been actively involved in the business development activities of a listed telecommunications company, where he served as President of its Group Marketing Council which was responsible for advising the company’s Management Committee on marketing strategies. En. Mohd Fadzli graduated with a B.Sc. (Mathematics) from Clarkson University in New York, and holds an MBA (Finance) from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.

MR. LIM WEN SHEONG(Non-Independent Director)

BSc in Economics and Government, London School of Economics and Political Science.
MBA, UCLA Anderson.

Mr. Lim Wen Sheong focuses on product development as well as investment strategy. Prior to PhillipCapital, he was at the Investment business of Citibank Asia Pacific. Mr. Lim has been with PhillipCapital since 2001 where he has been involved in equity research as well as corporate finance both in Singapore and the United Kingdom (UK). Mr. Lim is a graduate from the London School of Economic and also holds an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at University of California, Los Angeles (“UCLA”).

MR. JEFFREY LEE CHAY KHIONG (Alternate Director)

B.Eng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering, National University of Singapore.

Mr. Jeffrey Lee is the Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Phillip Capital Management (S) Ltd. Prior to his current role, Mr. Jeffrey Lee was a Director of Investment at AIB Govett (Asia) Ltd and held senior investment manager positions at DBS Bank and Mitsubishi Corporation Group. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Directors of a number of companies within the DBS Bank and PhillipCapital, as well as several venture capital investment companies. Mr. Jeffrey Lee’s fund management experience spans several investment cycles. His track record includes a number of highly rated unit trusts in the Asia Pacific and Global Funds category.

A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) since 1990, he obtained his Bachelor’s (Honours) degree in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 1985 on a Public Service Commission Merit Scholarship. Mr. Jeffrey Lee was appointed as the Non-Independent Director on 8 March 2004.
